Southeast Mortgage is excited to have Matt DeCesaro on our team! Matt joins Southeast as Senior Vice President of our Builder Services Division. He brings a wealth of experience to Southeast Mortgage and will help us meet homebuilders’ high demands for our services in the markets we serve.
Matt DeCesaro was born in Northwest Chicago. He comes from a family of Italian immigrants who arrived in Wisconsin during the early 1900’s. Matt’s Grandfather, who was a huge influence in his life, was a butcher by trade and one of his best friends. His grandfather taught him the importance of hard work, strong personal relationships, integrity, and “what it means to give your all” in everything in life!
Matt’s childhood brought him from Chicago to St. Louis, eventually moving to Connecticut, where he lived until leaving for college. Matt Graduated from Joel Barlow High School in Redding, Connecticut and then went back to Wisconsin for college at Marquette University, Graduating in 1995. In 1999, Matt was transferred to Atlanta where he met his wife and best friend, Stacy. They live in Alpharetta, GA with their two sons, Patrick, and Carter. In his spare time, Matt enjoys fishing, spending time with his family, and cooking on his Big Green Egg.
On a professional note, Matt has worked in new home construction since 2003. He began his career as a Mortgage Loan Originator focusing exclusively on new construction. He was later promoted to Branch Manager where he coached one of the Southeast’s top performing branches. In both positions he was consistently ranked as one of the Top 1% of all mortgage professionals in the United States. Matt has a unique business perspective which combines his knowledge of new construction finance, branch management and front-line mortgage experience. The combination of this experience makes him one of the nation’s foremost experts in new construction finance and a huge asset to Southeast Mortgage!
